Portable gas burners, including those used during camping trips, operate from small gas cylinders. It is easy to guess that they run out of fuel quickly enough. In order not to purchase a new can, you can go to one trick and refuel from a propane bottle.
What you need: a hose, a fitting for a propane cylinder, a pair of clamps, a portable gas burner with a collet connection without electric ignition.
First of all, a specialized nut with a left-hand thread with a fitting is installed on the gas cylinder, onto which a thin hose can be pulled. This part is available at most hardware stores. Accordingly, immediately after that, we put the necessary hose and attach at its opposite (free) end a part from a gas burner without electric ignition. In this case, we are only interested in the collet connection for fixing the can, the faucet, and also part of the tube. The nozzle can be safely cut off. We put clamps on the hose without fail.
You can fix the structure with an ordinary screwdriver. It is important to do everything quickly and clearly so that the gas does not start to come out of the cylinder, and a large amount of air does not get inside. After that, the propane bottle is placed on the ground. It can also be slightly warmed up by the sun to increase the pressure.
Now we take an empty can, which needs to be refilled. It is strongly recommended that you familiarize yourself with its limits before starting work. Typically, these types of cans hold 220 grams of gas. After that, you can open the valve in front of the adapter, literally for a second open the tap on the sawn-off burner (to remove air), then connect the can to the system and open the valve to the full.
When refueling, it is best to turn the small can upside down. This will speed up the process and reduce the volume of vaporized gas. As soon as the container is heavy, the process must be stopped, the system is disconnected and the weighing is carried out. If the mass is not full, we refuel.
