Many people dream of having a cozy and beautiful home of their own, and what it will be depends on the financial capabilities and imagination of the owners themselves, as well as architects who are implementing their dreams. Therefore, it is not surprising that there are many original households in the world, created with special creative inspiration and an extraordinary approach. The following 5 outstanding objects have become a vivid confirmation of this.
1. A futuristic mansion in the Moscow region, hidden under a hill
Modern country houses are increasingly trying to hide in the bosom of nature so that from a bird's eye view you cannot immediately determine whether this is a hill or a mansion. So it happened with the introduction of a luxurious country residence into the landscape of one of the sites in the Moscow region, although the hill had to be created by hand. The design and implementation of an architectural miracle called House in the landscape was carried out by the specialists of the studio Niko architect Stanislav Nikolaev.
The developers managed to masterfully connect unusual architectural forms with the natural landscape, which has become an integral part of the house itself, because beautiful flower beds with lawns and a fragrant garden smoothly fill not only the site, but also the roof of the mansion. The authors of the project themselves describe their solution as follows: “The project is based on the connection between the environment and the internal environment of a person. Bionic forms are humane in relation to a person, they organically fit into his perception and have a beneficial effect on the emotional state."
2. House-pyramid The Stair House on Jeju Island (South Korea)
Some creative designers, to please customers who dream of non-standard residences, are able to create them even from traditional building materials. As it happened in one of the towns in South Korea, where the architects of the studio Formative Architects managed to design an unusual residential complex using only red and white bricks.
Triangular buildings, more like half pyramids, form an original object, in which three families will live at once. Another distinctive feature of the project, called The Stair House, is that the house, located in the middle of the complex, has a stepped facade, which also serves as an observation staircase (it offers a beautiful view of the ocean), and has become a special decoration of the entire courtyard.
3. House-propeller CRA House in the club village of Valle de Bravo (Mexico)
Architectural firm Estudio MMX has designed the unique CRA House, located in a residential country club in Valle de Bravo, Mexico City, Mexico, in a natural area near Lake Avandaro.
Interesting fact: Mexico's country club communities set their own design criteria, suggesting the use of specific materials and special shapes depending on the location of the settlement. Considering that a particular village is located in a mountainous area, it was decided that residential residences should have a rustic look.
Thanks to this, a special architectural project appeared, which skillfully embodied the requirements of the generally accepted style, its own interpretation of the local color and a modern approach to design. The specialists of Estudio MMX managed to create a universal shape for all premises of the residence, which made it possible to arrange the windows so that sunlight enters all the rooms, no matter on which side they are. Huge mansion of 590 sq.m was created from four interconnected A-shaped wooden structures (in the form of a propeller), installed on a concrete base. At the same time, they were installed so that it seems as if the mansion rotates on its axis (central atrium), while providing a beautiful view from the house to the fragrant gardens, mountains and the golf course.
4. Modern Walden House in South Korea
The house, created in the countryside for an elderly couple, impressed not only Network users with its forms and organization of space, but also specialists. Taking into account the wishes of the clients to have a home that does not have closed internal zones, the specialists of Formative Architects were able to design a special house with an original arched shape oriented towards the courtyard.
The peculiarities of the location of residential areas and their complete openness do not at all mean that its owners live at the exhibition site. As it turned out, the entire courtyard is surrounded by a high fence and no external windows are provided, so we can assume that Walden House, with the full openness of the internal space, is an ideal place for introverts and all those who prefer complete privacy and constant eye contact of all family members.
5. House among the Border Crossing House in Polverigi (Italy)
In the countryside of Polverigi (Italy), amidst lush fields, the unusual Border Crossing House has emerged, a design that shatters traditional notions of building and planning. Such an extraordinary project was implemented in 2020 by the architect Simona Subissati, a representative of the radical movement in art.
By introducing unusual forms and materials, she managed to connect the structure of the building with the natural landscape in an unconventional way. An asymmetric gable roof, numerous openings that differ in shape and functionality, the absence of a traditional fence, instead of which only perennial grasses are planted - all this made it possible to create a special country house for a comfortable stay and complete unity with nature.
The past year was remembered not only for non-standard architectural solutions in the construction of private residences. In 2020 more ambitious projects were implemented that surprised the whole world.
