A military uniform is a unique piece of clothing that should not only be comfortable for a soldier, but also demonstrate the might of the army of the country he serves. However, dress uniform does not always fall under this definition. After all, sometimes all that can be remembered from contemplating the uniforms of the armies of some countries is a riot of colors and strange details that are absolutely inappropriate for military clothing.
1. Vatican

Given the size of the Vatican's territory, they don't need an army as such. But for the protection of the Pope, the hired corps of the Swiss Guard has existed for more than four hundred years. They have three sets of uniforms: casual, work and dress. But the most memorable is, of course, the last one.

The dress uniform of the Vatican guards is represented by striped camisoles in red-yellow-blue tones, trousers tied under the knees, a beret, which is additionally decorated with a red plume during celebrations, as well as a cuirass. The mercenary corps is armed with halberds and swords.
2. Haiti

The Haitian army, it would seem, is constantly getting involved in local armed conflicts, and therefore walks in shabby camouflage of the appropriate shade. However, when it comes to celebrations, they seem to remember the glorious past of the Aborigines.

The dress uniform in Haiti is white or blue, and it would seem that this is not something strange. However, colorful elements in the form will certainly be present. And sometimes there are so many of them that an association with a parrot involuntarily suggests itself.
3. Greece

When you look at the guard of honor of the Greeks - the Evzones, it is difficult to believe that they are an elite unit of the troops. After all, the impression of their unusual kind of march, which they pace during the change of soldiers at the post, is only intensified by the strange parade form. Although only the sewing workshop of the Presidential Guard of Greece has the right to make it.

The dress uniform of the Evzones consists of a number of unique elements: a short pleated skirt - "fustanella", a white shirt, a red cap with a tassel called Phareon. On the feet of the guard of honor of Greece, he wears white leggings, as well as special shoes - tsarukhs, also decorated with pom-poms in volumes.
Interesting fact: this outfit only at first glance may seem absurd and even clown. However, in fact, some of its elements are of practical value. So, for example, tsarukhs can weigh up to three kilograms due to the sole reinforced with steel nails - this makes the shoes themselves a weapon, and also allowed in the past to calmly overcome mountainous terrain on foot. Moreover, even the pom-poms on the form of the Evzones are not just like that - you can hide cold weapons under them.
4. India

Bright and rich colors and patterns are one of the hallmarks of Indian clothing. Of course, this trend did not leave aside the military uniforms. Therefore, when another parade takes place in India, one gets the impression that it is rather a carnival with militaristic elements.

The dress uniform of Indian soldiers is filled with a lot of bright colors, especially on the strange-looking "Iroquois" on the head. In addition, each state in India has its own shape and colors on it, so the variety of shades is really impressive.
5. Thailand

When the parade in honor of the birthday of the king of Thailand takes place, you can see in all details the ceremonial uniforms of his army, which can easily fold into a rainbow and even more. What kind of flowers are not there. Separately, headdresses similar to British ones are noted, but, due to the warm climate, they are made of feathers, not fur.

Such a riot of colors is no coincidence, because each branch of the Thai army has its own color. For example, the king's personal bodyguards wear red and white. In yellow and green uniforms, the guardsmen of the artillery battalion are marching in the parade. And the uniform of the soldiers of the Thai Air Force Academy is painted in sky blue.
