Popular now toy multicopters captivate not only with the ability to look at the world with a camera from a bird's eye view and look into the windows of neighbors, but also with an incredible ease of management … And the German company E-Volo has created a real helicopter Volocopterthat is just as easy to operate.

Volocopter is exactly the kind of personal transport that we have dreamed of. While different companies are developing cars that can fly into the sky on the principle of an airplane, E-Volo has produced a truly convenient and simple aircraft for private users.

In order to obtain a pilot's license for a conventional helicopter, a person needs to undergo a long and expensive training course. With Volocopter, everything is much easier. Even a novice aeronaut needs only five hours of training to successfully fly this craft. Indeed, in terms of control, this helicopter has not moved much from toy multicopters.

Volocopter is controlled by either a special remote control, or a tablet or smartphone integrated into the helicopter's on-board system via a wireless interface.

Moreover, Volocopter has a flight stabilization system. Unlike a conventional helicopter, this unit, in the event of a loss of control over it, will simply freeze in place until the pilot regains control of the copter.

The Volocopter has eighteen horizontal propellers that lift it up and allow the vehicle to maneuver in the air. They are located around the aircraft, which gives it additional stability in flight. At the same time, the propellers are easy to assemble and disassemble in order to store the helicopter in a regular car garage.

The unusual helicopter Volocopter is designed for two passengers. It can lift cargo weighing up to 450 kilograms into the sky. Nine lithium-ion batteries allow it to fly for an hour at a cruising speed of 100 km / h. The maximum lifting height of the Volocopter is 2 kilometers.
Thus, the Volocopter is, predominantly, an urban vehicle that will allow the owner to move around in space, bypassing traffic jams.
Volocopter will be on sale in 2015 at a price of 250 thousand euros.
