X Plus One is the brainchild of Xcraft, which it is now raising money for mass production through its Kickstarter crowdfunding site. This aircraft is similar in concept to the device with the name Project zerowhich also combines an airplane and a helicopter.
The X Plus One takes off vertically with four propellers running horizontally to the ground. But, once at the right height, this drone can turn on its side to fly from place to place at high speed. The creators of the X Plus One claim that it can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour. True, the maximum flight duration of this aircraft is ten to fifteen minutes - an average for modern drones.
The intelligent control and balancing system implemented in the X Plus One allows the drone to achieve the most stable and accurate flight, even in very strong winds. He is not afraid of hard landings, rain and other external factors that strongly affect modern civilian drones.
The X Plus One weighs 1.27 kilograms. The drone has several points for attaching an action camera like GoPro, which will allow you to take photos and videos with it both during vertical and horizontal flight.
The cheapest version of the X Plus One on Kickstarter costs 199 US dollars, the most expensive is 1199. The difference in prices is due to the number of additional features and devices that will come with this unusual drone.
