Nowadays, the use of recyclable materials or containers is not surprising, because the entire Internet is replete with a variety of ideas for creating garden furniture from old barrels, unnecessary tires or building pallets. And if the tables, sofas and benches for the needs of the summer cottage from these materials look pretty cute and original, then in the apartment such items can only linger with loft lovers. Although there are craftsmen who manage to make full-fledged furniture from building pallets or old boxes, which will decorate the interior of any apartment.

Let's make a reservation right away that this master class is ideal for those who not only love, but also know how to make various pieces of furniture and have the appropriate tool. You cannot do such things in a quick and tyap-blooper way if you want to have a truly original corner wardrobe in your apartment. The biggest plus of this particular design is that you can make any width and height - everything will depend on preferences, available space, amount of material and time. And the most important and pleasant thing - for these purposes, both construction pallets and large boxes or a board used for sheathing goods are suitable.

Before starting creative work, you should decide on the parameters of the product and the installation location. After that, it is better to make a template for some details, because in this case the shelves will have a radius shape, and such things are not done by eye and only with the help of a tape measure. Further, everything is standard: whatever the manufacture of designer furniture is planned from, the first stage is the dismantling of pallets or boxes into parts. In this case, all fasteners are carefully removed.
Advice from the authors of Novate.ru: If pallets or boxes are not available, but you have to buy them, then when choosing, you should carefully examine each unit. If the wood has darkened, covered with mold, deep cracks or the boards have led, then it should be discarded immediately - you cannot make furniture out of it.

After parsing into parts, each of them must be cut to the desired length and sanded on all sides, and if necessary, also trimmed. For these purposes, a multifunctional woodworking machine is still better suited, because it is almost impossible to make a perfect cut and an absolutely smooth surface by hand.

After that, you can start assembling the shield, which will serve to create the sidewall of the corner cabinet. To do this, you need to have several pieces of beams of the same height and a perfectly flat base. When laying the boards, it is advisable to select according to the pattern and color in order to ultimately obtain a homogeneous structure. The backboard must match the planned height and width of the cabinet. When laying each unit, all end sides are coated with transparent furniture glue. This operation cannot be tightened, because after assembling the sidewall, all glued parts should be correctly fixed with clamps and left to dry completely. In a similar way, the second sidewall, and shelves, and doors are made (it is most convenient to make them with one shield, and then cut into the necessary parts).

When all the shields are well dry, it is advisable to once again walk with a sander over the created integral part in order to remove excess dried glue and small irregularities. After that, you can start cutting the shelves and doors. To create shelves, the finished canvas is divided into segments of the desired length, and then a radius curve is drawn for cutting.

To do this, the time-tested method will do: a nail is placed in the corner of the square, to which a rope is attached, and on the other hand, you need to firmly hold the pencil and guide it from one nearest corner to another. If you made a template in advance, then the process will go much faster. When there is special equipment, then such a markup can be done only on one of several shelves, the rest are installed in a pile under the bottom and cut out at the same time. Otherwise, each shelf is cut separately. After the shelves are ready, the cut should be sanded well.

Now you can start securing the shelves. First, an accurate marking is done and only then we proceed to assembling the upper part of the cabinet. In order not to spoil the side parts with holes right through, they decided to glue them from the inside, and to make the structure more reliable, using a mounting gun on wood, you need to fix them with thin barely noticeable nails. The second side of the cabinet is also connected.

Since it was decided to make the lower part of the cabinet closed, it was necessary to carry out preparatory work to secure the doors. For this, an additional lintel was installed in the middle of the selected span, which will support the entire structure and fix the doors themselves. It was made according to the same principle as the shelves - they were first glued, and then fixed with thin nails.

To install the doors, you will need to purchase furniture hinges, then outline the place of their attachment and select excess wood. After that, you need to screw one part of the hinges to the door, the other to the sidewalls. It will not hurt to install latches with magnets, which will not allow the door to go too deep inside the cabinet or to open spontaneously. Now all that remains is to adjust the tightness of opening, closing and convergence of the door halves, attach the legs, and also outline the place for fixing the fittings (if they open it with varnish and the design of the handle allows, you can install the fittings immediately).

Now the cabinet can be opened with varnish or painted in any color you like, just do not forget that it must harmoniously fit into the interior of the room in which it will be located. After the paintwork has dried, the handles are screwed on and the new piece of furniture can be sent to its corner.

Nowadays, building pallets are very widely used both in the design of country houses and city apartments, since they are the cheapest natural material that is not difficult to process and bring into proper form.
