But what about the plants?
But what about the plants?

It's a shame when something is interrupted by a well-deserved and long-awaited vacation. Whether it's a sudden revolt of the stomach and the entire digestive system against vacation delicacies or the need to go home and water the flowers. The first aid kit will cope with the first trouble. And so that houseplants can calmly survive your absence, use this little trick. And you don't even have to give keys to neighbors!

What, ask the neighbors again?
What, ask the neighbors again?

The need to water the flowers at home often forces us to make "noble sacrifices": to return from the dacha or the sea a little earlier, trust the keys to neighbors, or strain friends and relatives with requests. Each of the options has a right to exist. But it is better to do without sacrifices and go the lazy way: make a system of automatic soil moistening. It just sounds complicated, but in reality - 5 minutes of time and 5 days without unnecessary worries.

To make an "automatic drinker" for flowers, prepare:

1. A bottle of wine with a stopper;

2. Drill or awl.

Prepare an empty and clean bottle of wine

The best part first: empty the bottle of wine. Then rinse it off, remove the sticker (preferably) and set it aside. Time to tackle the cork.

Drill a hole in the plug

Drill a through hole in the wine stopper exactly in the middle. It doesn't have to be wide. In this case, "already" = "better" and "longer".

Make a small indentation in the soil

Meanwhile, in the pot of the green "pet", dig a small depression (5-7 centimeters).

And then it is completely elementary. Fill a full bottle of water, plug the neck with a cork, and place it in the prepared recess with the “throat down”.

One bottle lasts an average of five days

The soil will now be saturated with moisture. Usually one bottle is enough for 4-5 days, depending on the gluttony of the plant. And then the effect will last for a couple more. So a week of vacation will fly by unnoticed not only for you, but also for the greenery in the room.

And here you can admire the 17 indoor plants that not everyone dares to have at home … But maybe you are one of the daredevils?
