The commercial presentation of the Aurus limousines will take place very soon. More recently, the official representatives of the model talked about how much the new product will cost approximately. The Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov also shared information about the car. The message he made for foreign media representatives somewhat surprised and puzzled domestic motorists.
The Aurus car brand should do the main thing - to massively transfer domestic officials and businessmen to a Russian-made car. Even if the components of the car are not all domestic, but for the first time in a long time, a truly Russian top-class car has appeared, which thoroughly claims to take a place first on the domestic market of the country, and then on the world one. In the first stages, the car will be assembled by hand and piece. Most likely, it was this circumstance that left its mark on the formation of the model's value.
So, what exactly did Denis Manturov say? Yes, indeed, the first Aurus limousines will cost more than similar Mercedes-Maybach limousines, and in one of the most luxurious configurations. According to the minister, the price of a domestic "member carrier" should be about 18 million Russian rubles. The exact price will be announced very soon at the commercial presentation of the machine. It is highly likely that this will happen this August.
In order to better understand the order of the numbers, it should be recalled that the already mentioned Mercedes-Maybach in the best assembly is estimated at 15 million rubles. The difference between the creation of Mercedes and domestic craftsmen is significant, even for wealthy people. At the same time, it should be noted that the Russian "member vehicle" is still cheaper than a car like the Bentley Mulsanne. For it in the best configuration, you will have to pay 21,419,000 rubles. At the same time, in terms of quality and comfort, the difference between cars is not as significant as it might seem.
Note: "Member vehicles" in the USSR were jokingly called cars of representatives of the party apparatus. The name comes from the words "party member".
Why is everything going this way? The fact is that "members of the membership" in Russia have not actually been made since the times of the Soviet Union. For this alone, the Aurus is a big step forward. At the same time, unlike its counterparts from the USSR, the car is created not only for domestic consumption, but also for export. That is why the first samples will not go into the hands of the "native boyars". The first Aurus, according to Manturov, will be sold by clients from the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
