1. Hydrogen peroxide
In the open form, hydrogen peroxide can be stored for a very short time - no more than 2 months. When closed, the composition has a much longer shelf life, up to 12 months. This is because the H2O2 molecule is very unstable. In order to somehow prolong the storage of peroxide, it should be kept in a dark place and closed. When exposed to light on the composition, the molecules begin to rapidly disintegrate.
2. Tea bags
Few people realize, however, tea bags also have a shelf life, and not very long. After 6 months, they will be completely unusable. This is because the tea leaf has the ability to oxidize (ferment). At the same time, ordinary black tea can be stored for more than 9 months. Traditionally, inferior quality raw materials are used for tea bags.
3. Pillow
Even the pillow has its own expiration date! In most cases, it is 2-3 years, after which the product finally loses its shape. Of course, the pillow is not eaten and even after 5 years it can be used for its intended purpose, but the effect will be far from the same.
4. Toothpaste and brush
Personal hygiene items, as you could immediately guess, also have a very specific shelf life. For most tubes of toothpaste, it is no more than one year. But the toothbrush should be changed every 3 months, otherwise, it will turn into a real breeding ground for infections.
5. Sports shoes
Everyone knows that shoes will break sooner or later, but in reality they also have a certain expiration date. Primarily for sports shoes. In most cases, this is six months. In this case, the shelf life can be reduced even faster with regular professional sports. Some wear 10 pairs of athletic shoes in 12 months.
6. Fire extinguisher
Many motorists forget that a fire extinguisher has an expiration date. For carbon dioxide and powder fire extinguishers, it can reach 10 years. At the same time, air-foam fire extinguishers usually serve no more than 5 years.
7. Vodka
Finally, even vodka has a shelf life! Many people believe that vodka can be stored with all its qualities for an unlimited period. This is not at all the case. Most of the bottles say that vodka has a shelf life of 2 years. Moreover, for flavored drinks, it is even lower - from 6 to 12 months.
