Most lovers of grilling meat on the grill mistakenly believe that lighting charcoal without using a special liquid can be very difficult. In fact, this is not the case. With the proper skill and desire, you can cope with the help of improvised means that are in every house (or summer cottage). So, let's take a closer look at what you need to have on hand and how this technique is implemented in practice.
For work, we need a grill with prepared coal, an ordinary newspaper, matches and any bottle. So, first we take a bottle and pour some water into it, if it was empty. This must be done to make the vessel more stable. When this is done, the bottle is placed on the charcoal grill. The next step is to wrap the container with newspaper. To do this, you first need to knead the paper well.
Important: no need to wrap the bottle tightly with crumpled newspaper, as would be done with papier-mâché. After wrapping, cavities with air should remain in the structure.
Let's move on to the next step. The structure obtained from the newspaper and the bottle must be overlaid with coal, to about mid-height. After that, the bottle is pulled out with a neat movement so that only the newspaper remains in the coals. You can set it on fire. When the paper is on fire, the charcoal will heat up rapidly. As soon as this happens, you need to fill the funnel with hot coal.
That's all you need to do to light the barbecue without using a special liquid. Just a few minutes and the coals will come to the right degree of condition so that you can fry meat or fish on them.
