Watering a summer cottage area using a regular bucket or even a hose with a pump is quite a tedious task. The best assistant in this matter can be a spray bottle. However, this device still needs to be found and purchased. Needless to say, this approach will cost a pretty penny? It is much easier and better to spend a little time and make your own spray system literally from scrap materials.
What you need: garden hose, PET bottle, hose tee, wire, nails
The whole essence of the work ahead comes down to creating a set of series-connected handicraft sprinklers from scrap materials, which will be suspended over the beds, shrubs or even a lawn on a hose. The base for creating each sprinkler is a regular plastic bottle. We take at once and more, after which we draw two lines at the bottom of each bottle with a step of 1 cm. Then, using a needle or a carnation, we pierce thin holes on the black lines with a step of 4-5 cm.
In the neck of each PET bottle we insert a fragment of a dense garden hose from 10 to 15 cm long. Everything must be done so that the hose fits in the neck as tightly as possible. Then we insert the prepared tees into each hose. On the tee, which will be the extreme in the design, on the one hand, we pull a piece of rubber hose, then bend it in half and pinch it several times with wire. Then we drive a nail into the neck of each bottle so that it comes out through and pierces the inserted hose. This is necessary to protect the structure from breakage under the influence of water pressure.
Further, the matter remains small. It is necessary to prepare as many sprayers as the length of the beds requires. Most often, 1 atomizer is enough for a circle with a diameter of 1.5-2 meters. All tees are connected to each other with hose fragments, after which the main hose is connected to the pump. In order to prevent the tees from being ripped off, it is strongly recommended to secure them with wire. The structure assembled in this way can be either suspended above the beds, or laid out on the ground or among the grass.
