Broken threads of fasteners inside a plastic part is a widespread problem. Most people mistakenly believe that if such a breakdown occurs, then the thing can be immediately sent to a landfill. In fact, this is far from the case. With the proper skill, desire and the availability of tools, the vocabulary carving can be restored. And the most important thing is that all this will take no more than 5 minutes.

What you need: threads, scissors, screwdriver, machine oil, ordinary threads, stationery knife, boron machine with a drill or cutter
In order to restore the stripped thread, it is necessary to disassemble the problematic part (if this is possible in principle), and also to free the thread itself from foreign objects and hardware. When this is done, the opened hole is trimmed and made about 0.5-1 mm wider than it was originally. The easiest way to cope with this task is to use a burr machine with an appropriate cutter. An alternative way is to widen the hole with a small screwdriver, simply rotating it along the former thread.

Now we are preparing the screw, namely, we lubricate it with oil. After that, we take up the expansion of the hole. To do this, we wind a thread on a thoroughly traded screw until the thickness of the hardware matches the size of the drilled hole. With difficulty we squeeze the hardware into the hole and drip the second's glue onto it. We send a few more drops into the prepared hole.

Insert the screw and thread into the hole. We are waiting for about 5 minutes. During this time, the glue will have to grab tightly. We remove its excess with a neat movement of a clerical knife. Unscrew the screw carefully. After that, the remaining hole will have to maintain the shape of the thread. The entire restoration process takes just over five minutes with the proper skill.
