Small apartments are an eternal headache for their owners. And if there is also an unsuccessful layout, then the problems of arrangement will double. As, for example, with a narrow elongated apartment with an area of 33 "squares", which has only one window with access to the loggia. It is the happiness of the owners that they use such apartments only for a weekend getaway or on vacation, but nevertheless, the problems with organizing the space have not diminished.

In order to equip newly acquired housing, one desire and financial capacity is not enough, especially if the geometry of the room is more like a pencil case or a railway carriage. Well, if this narrow and elongated space has only one more window at the end of the "tunnel", then the task becomes quite complicated. In this case, you need to have skill and especially dodgy thinking, even if you are a pro in this matter.

Experienced designer Anna Modjaro was convinced of this, who had to cope with such a space. The girl was approached by the owner of a narrow apartment, who loves to spend weekends and vacations with her daughter away from the bustle of the city.

In a narrow apartment, only a bathroom was allocated, combined with a toilet, and the rest of the space was available to determine the main zones that are necessary for comfortable living and recreation.

In order not to clutter up the living space with oversized cabinets, it was decided to install a spacious storage system right in the hallway. For this, several modules were selected at IKEA, one of which was open due to the fact that the space did not allow the installation of another cabinet. But such a "blotch" turned out to be very handy, because upon arrival from the street, there is where to immediately put keys, gloves or put a purse. For these needs, they allocated one shelf at a convenient height, on the rest, they put original wicker baskets in which you can hide a lot of little things without creating a mess.

Since customers prefer to cook their own food, tiles were laid on the floor to decorate the hallway and the kitchen itself. The kitchen itself was separated from the hallway with the help of a headset, which was installed in the form of a portal. Modular furniture was also used to create the kitchenette so that it can be accommodated in a limited space.

They did not make a large work area, because the apartment is used from time to time. For the same reason, they preferred a two-burner hob, but in all other respects it turned out to be a fully equipped modern kitchen with a built-in refrigerator, microwave, oven and even a washing machine.

In order not to clutter up a small space with a dining table, they installed a bar counter, which the hostess had long dreamed of. Considering that a small dining area also serves as a living room, a folding sofa was placed against the opposite wall, which can be used as an extra bed.

In order to separate the sleeping area, it was decided to make a glass partition that does not attract attention and does not overload the space. Since the room is essentially one, the upholstery on the sofa in the living room and on the headboard, as well as on the visible sides of the bed, were made the same. To diversify and balance the interior in a separate bedroom, an insert was made of collectible wallpaper created by designer Hanna Wernick.

Immediately behind the bedroom there is an exit to the loggia, which was supposed to be an additional resting place. Its designer decided to decorate with a hint of Mexican style, which implies lightness of furniture, air curtains, a wicker table and lamps created in the form of street lamps. I would like to pay special attention to the armchairs called "Acapulco".

According to the authors of Novate.ru, such a model of a rather comfortable and original-looking chair was invented not by eminent designers, but by an ordinary tourist from France, exhausted from the heat. In the middle of the last century, an inventive Frenchman took an old chair frame and wrapped it with a rope from a hammock. Until now, these models are in demand in hot climatic zones and look very impressive in the interiors of open terraces, verandas or summer areas of cafes and bars.

They did not overload the bathroom with a solid array of ceramic tiles, limiting themselves only to the floor and wall decoration in the shower area. The rest of the walls were painted with a deep gray color, which harmoniously combined with the general concept of the apartment. They did not allocate a lot of space for storage systems, because this bathroom is not used every day, so they installed only a cabinet under the sink with drawers, a mirror cabinet with secret shelves and decorated two small niches in the wet area and at the entrance to the shower.
