Another fantastic project for participation in the international competition Kaohsiung Port and Cruise Service Center International Competition proposal for the best terminal proposal in Kaohsiung (Taiwan) was presented by the Italian-Malaysian architectural studio Paolo Cucchi Architects.

The bionic forms of the structure designed by the architects, designed to become a continuation of the natural relief of the coast, evoke associations with a certain living organism, the embodiment of nature itself.

Such a futuristic structure, which meets international cruise ships, will undoubtedly become the most iconic object for the city, perfectly viewed from both the sea and the city.

This “sea creature” lies majestically and calmly, surrounded by “splashes of water” shimmering in the sun and at night. Such a large-scale and expressive structure conducts a harmonious "dialogue" between the urban environment and the waves of the sea, hospitably inviting tourists and vacationers arriving by sea.

The continuous, fluid architectural form gives the impression of a monolith, interrupted only to let in light and air. Something in between a giant whale and an ultra-modern means of transporting roofing felts by air, or by water.

The vicinity of the terminal will be landscaped with an open green park area, accessible to everyone at any time of the day. It also provides flexible conditions for holding various events and carrying out cultural and entertainment programs, musical or theatrical performances in the open air. Inside the terminal building, a space has been developed for a multifunctional center, including shops, cafes, a cinema and a panoramic restaurant.
