In the near future, the Solomon Guggenheim Museum will be erected in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania, and its architect will be Zaha Hadid, already known to us. Moreover, she not only received the right to create the project, but also won against two other, no less famous architects - Daniel Libeskind and Massimiliano Fuksas.

If you look at all the projects presented, then Zaha Hadid's plan is rightfully recognized as the best. He is. It is difficult to say why the Guggenheim Foundation was chosen, however, this step is definitely the right one.

As you know, this museum has several branches around the world at once: in Italy (Venice), Germany (Berlin) and Spain (Bilbao). Now this will appear closer to Russia.

The design of this museum has been approved and fully supported by the Guggenheim Foundation and all its members. As it became known, the museum will be located near the White Bridge and include various galleries, the main of which will be the Hermitage.

The designers hope that this will not only attract visiting tourists, but also raise the level of culture among the population of the capital of Lithuania and the Baltic countries.

Of course, it is too early to talk about the exact timing of the start of construction. After all, so far only the project has been approved, and we can rejoice for Zakha. To get a feel for the difference, take a look at the designs submitted by other designers. This one belongs to Fuksas.

And this one is for Libeskind.
