The topic of garbage and waste is now very relevant, and it is not going to slow down. Still: humanity has finally thought seriously about the fact that there is no one to clean up after them, and our planet, though huge, is not infinite. Now everyone who can pay attention to this problem. Journalists, politicians. And the designers.
Rafinesse & Tristesse appeared in 2006, and are inspired by large olive tins. Everyone is used to treating them as rubbish unconditionally. And the designers took and made very bright and cute stools out of them. And they still do, and unique ones. As they themselves say, they can try to make a second copy of the stool if they really ask, but they do not guarantee anything.
They also make small, fully equipped cookers. Each is unique and unrepeatable, and in each the designers tried to use as much "garbage" as possible. At the same time, the objects were not done anyhow. For each part, the most suitable place is selected, combinations of shapes and colors are taken into account. Children will be happy.
We will select a sink for the stove - also unique, also bright and colorful and made from recycled items. I think kids will love the very fact that their new toys came from. And this will teach them to be more careful and thrifty about things. If a thing has fallen into disrepair and can no longer perform its main function, this does not mean that it is completely useless.
