Sometimes even the most elementary things are not brought to the attention of the fighters, such as the capabilities of their bayonet-knife, which comes with a Kalashnikov assault rifle.
1. General purpose tool
The piece-knife is a real universal tool. They can not only open cans of stewed meat and condensed milk. So, by inserting the knife with the ring of the cross into the scabbard, we get a hammer. There is a file on the blade of each such knife. The knife and scabbard can be combined into wire cutters or scissors. And of course it can be used as a screwdriver.
2. Source of fire
There is a special place at the bottom of the scabbard. Corner plastic with a straight, rough cut. It was made for a reason. This is a "lighter". Due to the peculiarities of the material, this area can be lit any match at once.

3. Weapons
It sounds strange, but the bayonet is a weapon. However, now we are not talking about the most obvious way to use it. The fact is that a knife piece can be used to create a spear. 4. Torch
Few people know, however, the AK knife piece was also conceived as a torch. Of course, you need a fabric that will burn. In the knife itself, or rather in its scabbard, there is a small retainer, which can be removed without much effort and put on a metal protrusion at the bottom of the cover structure. This design allows you to securely fix the oiled fabric and use the torch without the risk of scalding your hands.
5. Engineering tool
There are special teeth and notches on the blade of the bayonet knife. They were made for a reason. If necessary, such a knife can be used as a sapper-engineering tool. With the help of a bayonet, you can relatively quickly saw and cut wire, as well as wires.
By the way, the handle of the knife (like the scabbard) is made of a material that does not conduct electricity. This allows wires to be cut even when energized.
