Autumn, she will not ask … And the autumn, it would seem, not so long ago ended. But her real lovers, like me, already miss the fleeting couple of weeks of golden autumn. So much the better for us: the invention of the Israeli designer Tomer Sapir will delight us a hundred times more.

These are lamps with fallen leaves. Real dried leaves are effectively illuminated, and the shape of the lamp legs is reminiscent of bare autumn trees.

Autumn is traditionally symbolized with death, and in this work, the leaves remind of the period between life and death: when the leaf is already actually dead, but still clings to a branch before sinking into years … Well, the designer himself suggests something like this. I cannot agree with him: for me autumn was and will be a symbol of joy, comfort and happiness. And lamps, accordingly, leave only positive and pleasant impressions.
