The famous and truly legendary One Log House was built in Northern California in 1946 from mahogany. It's almost impossible to believe, but this tree is about 2,100 years old!
Just unbelieveble. Of course, the house was constantly undergoing reconstruction, but the very fact that it is still standing and healthy is amazing.
Despite the fact that it is only a tourist attraction, it is quite possible to live in it. It contains the kitchen, bedroom, living room and dining room.
The log weighed 42 tons! It took two men eight months of work in it to build and, most importantly, equip a room two meters high and ten meters long.
I think it wouldn't be so bad to live in it.
