Airships are capturing the minds of designers and developers. Airplanes are, of course, fast, helicopters are maneuverable, but in order to travel comfortably through the air, seeing all the beauties of our planet from a bird's eye view, and at the same time having all the necessary and not very conveniences at hand - only aircrafts can do this.
We've already seen the Aeroscraft ML866 - an interesting hybrid of a conventional airship and the technology available to airplanes and helicopters. Today a more classical airship with a far from classical design has come into our field of vision.
This airship is called "Manned Cloud" and was designed as a flying hotel by French designer Jean-Marie Massaud.
The cetacean airship was developed with the help of the aerospace company ONERA, and is capable of transporting up to forty people at a distance of up to 5,000 kilometers.
The normal speed of the Manned Cloud is 130 kilometers per hour, and the maximum speed is 170. The double-winged cockpit will house all kinds of amenities such as a restaurant, library, fitness room and spa. The volume of the balloon is 520 cubic meters, and will carry all tourists who want to travel the world without roads for 72 hours.
