Learning is light and ignorance is darkness. In the literal sense of the word. Studiomeiboom made a lamp in the form of a thick book that can be placed on the shelf between the collected works of Pushkin and Dontsova.
The Dutch design company has launched its Illuminate Your World project, which plans to produce many lighting fixtures from the world's leading designers. And their first development was the "Enlightenment" lamp, which looks like a thick book. “We were inspired by such bestsellers as the Bible, Quran and Torah. They bring light to people, and our book does the same,”says a representative of the Dutch studio.
The "Enlightenment" lamp is made of white plexiglass, 24 centimeters high, 17 wide and 8 thick. Inside it is an energy-saving 9-watt light bulb. And 10% of the proceeds from the sale will go to charity.
