Originally manufactured by Dupont Chemical for the aviation industry, the fiber is widely used in aircraft and spacecraft.
The car was developed by Taiwan's National Kaohsiung University of Applied Sciences. The manufacturers were inspired by the Apollo team's project - Apollo Solar Car. It was formed in 1998 and was the first solar car design and manufacturing company in Taiwan. It is headed by Professor Herchang Ay, and the company consists mainly of engineering students. The car is expected to go on sale this year at a cost of $ 25,000.
