Nothing is eternal. Over time, many fruit trees cease to yield due harvest. Some owners in such a situation decide to get rid of the plant. A special case is when an old tree begins to endanger the inhabitants of the site and their property. In fact, there are several simple and affordable ways to get rid of old and rotten trees.
Method one - chemicals in the ground
The most obvious way to deal with old trees is to use various chemicals and drugs. Traditionally, the most powerful substances on the domestic market include such substances as Zenkor, MaysTer, and Promestin. All of them are very powerful herbicide preparations. Using these is not too difficult. The main thing is to moisten the soil around the tree before using it. Such preparations are extremely difficult to pass through dry soil.
Important: needless to say that such special equipment will easily cause irreparable damage to all the rest of the vegetation around the tree. Method two - destructive injections
Pinpoint injections into a tree is a more difficult, but at the same time, safer way to kill a plant. Most often they use drugs such as "Tornado" and "Ground". Before starting the injection, you should arm yourself with a drill and drill several holes in the tree. The diameter of each should be 5-10 mm. They are done at a height of 1 meter from the surface of the earth along the entire circumference of the trunk every 5-10 cm from each other.
When the preparatory stage is completed, you should take a regular medical syringe and use it to inject a small amount into the drilled holes so that the special agent does not leak out.
Method three - elimination of the tree through the bark
Finally, the tree can be destroyed with the same herbicides through the bark. This method is best applied to old trees. Such drugs as "Roundal", "Glyfos" and "Arsenal" will help in the operation. In order to kill a tree, simply apply the product according to the instructions on the surface of its bark. The "disadvantage" of this method is only that it works only against trees with a not too thick protective cover. It is necessary to apply chemistry at least 1.5 meters from the ground.
