Those who have to live in service or rented apartments know firsthand how sad it can be to be in the kitchen, which was equipped by the previous owners / tenants (often in a completely deplorable state). If this happened, then only repairs, albeit cosmetic ones, can correct the situation. It is enough to be smart, put your hands on, and this zone will be able to please you with the comfort that you are used to or would like to see. And how to do it so that the output turns out stylish, comfortable and budget - further in the material.

Everyone knows that the kitchen is the heart of any home, where not only delicious food is prepared, but people also spend the most time. It doesn't matter if it is a family dinner, friendly gatherings or a discussion of pressing problems. Everyone wants this area to be cozy and comfortable. If it so happens that you have to live in a rented apartment, and the interior of the kitchen evokes melancholy or worse, annoying, you should think about doing it yourself. How did a married couple, whom life threw into an office apartment, where they had to work hard so that they could enjoy not only the amazing view from the window.

Tatiana and her husband had a lot of work to do, because the arrangement had to be done practically from scratch. Not only had the kitchen not seen any repairs since the commissioning of the apartment building, but also the communications were in disrepair. Therefore, the first thing that had to be done was to carry out a new wiring of electricity and change the pipes. Then the balcony block was replaced (to save money, we bought a second-hand one), in the shortest possible time we pasted the first wallpapers that came across and made a spacious cabinet from recyclable materials with our own hands. The only thing for the countertop was a furniture board, which was opened with GAPPA wood oil and wax. After that, it was possible to cook in comfortable conditions in the kitchen and dine. But the enthusiastic enthusiasts did not stop there.

Taking into account the "killed" condition of the entire apartment and limited financial resources, they had to do further transformations independently and in stages. Tatiana, as the craftswoman is called, made a decorative wall imitation brick from putty, which she covered in several layers with acrylic paint, since the kitchen area suffers most of all from steam, drops of liquids and dirt. I also had to replace the linoleum, as the reanimated floor tiles still looked terrible. To save money at this stage, the spouses had to go shopping in search of linoleum remnants of a suitable size.

Since young people live in a high-mountainous region, where the supply of food must always be impressive, it was necessary to organize a storage system. Considering that the pantry envisaged by the project was adapted for water supply (tanks, pump, etc.), it was necessary to attach a strategic reserve in the kitchen itself. Tatyana did not want to clutter vertical surfaces with hanging cabinets so that they would not “eat up” the already narrow space, so it was decided to make an open rack that would fit between the wall and the freezer.
For this, young people purchased unplaned lumber (timber and planks), from which they assembled a rack. To facilitate the process of finding the right products and to ensure order on the shelves, vegetable plastic boxes were used as organizers, which you can get hold of absolutely free in the nearest market.

Also, the couple decided to change the originally pasted wallpaper, which did not fit into the new design concept, and to partially repaint and improve the wooden cabinet and shelves. This time, the creative girl wanted to make the kitchen in more noble and calm colors, so she chose the appropriate wallpaper and paint. These actions did not take much time, because the walls were initially leveled and decorative finishing of the working wall and dining area was made.

During the transformation of the cabinet, which serves as the basis for the work and hob surfaces, they were not limited to only repainting. For the convenience of placing cutlery and spices, we decided to install drawers. To hide all the wealth in the form of equipment and dishes on the shelves of the curbstone, Tatyana hung up a curtain made of waterproof fabric, which she sewed herself. This trick helped to save a lot of the decreasing budget, because everyone knows how much the front part of the headset costs.

There was also some decor. The creative craftswoman hung the original "Sea" clock, the background of which she made herself using epoxy resin, paint of different tones and a hair dryer. There was also a place for a spectacular "garland" made of twisted wire, open sockets and light bulbs. On a free wall near the window, Tatyana pasted a decorative inscription and hung transparent curtains.
The finishing touch was indoor flowers, which were reliably hidden from the cat while decorating the interior of the kitchen, embroidery framed with glass, a cloth tablecloth and restored Soviet chairs made in advance.

Reference: According to the spouses' calculations, all the transformations of the kitchen, in which it was impossible to be, cost about 23 thousand rubles. Appliances, equipment and power tools, which facilitated the repair work and helped in the process of creating furniture, were purchased earlier and are not included in this amount.
This example proves once again that much in life depends only on our desire to change something for the better. Despite the material investment and time spent on transforming even someone else's living space, you will always delight with the result. And to be convinced of this, the authors of Novate.ru recommend looking at the inspiring ideas that especially creative people managed to realize.

As practice shows, even the smallest investment can transform a dull kitchen. The only thing is to decide on transformation and make every effort, which are compensated by aesthetic pleasure and good mood of all family members.
