Apparently, Chinese architects are introducing a new fashion for private houses, the main design highlight of which will be elevators. This became clear after the concept of a unique configuration of a 15 m high country house with completely transparent modules-rooms, helically “strung” on the elevator shaft, was presented. The designers explain such an unusual shape and height of the building by innovative achievements in the field of vertical circulation, which allows creating appropriate channels in a small space, which will make it possible to save owners from exhausting stair climbs.
The designers of Adriano Design have presented a country house, unique in its structural characteristics, which they plan to build among rice fields overlooking the blue lagoons of Xiangong and the mountainous landscape (China). The innovative project was inspired not only by the delightful landscapes that they sought to discover in all their glory from every corner of the house.
According to the editors of Novate.ru, the main motivation for the 15-meter tower, with completely transparent module rooms "strung" on it, was the published results of achievements in the field of vertical circulation. In this case, we are talking about silent elevators, which can now be installed in private homes. Given the height of the private residence, the main problem could be precisely the staircase, which would greatly complicate the life of households, and the possibility of integrating circulation channels in the form of elevators simplified the task for developers.
“Until now, the main constraint has been the ladder climbing system, which has always represented a significant barrier in architecture,” says Adriano Design. - The new generation of "home" elevators can be the solution that will open up opportunities for developers, though not yet explored, but with great prospects."
To help imagine what the next generation of home lifts might look like, they decided to incorporate it into one of their futuristic projects called House on the Rice Paddy. The elevator in the design of this country residence will be the main highlight, and its shaft will be the main structural support on which the entire house-tower rests.
Innovative implementations: The elevator car and its channel will not be a closed space, the part of the structure that goes outside the object provides for the introduction of three-layer glass. This is done so that even while climbing or stopping at the right level, a person can enjoy beautiful views and outside the house. When facing the elevator car, in addition to glass, it is planned to use laminated materials interspersed with natural bamboo in order to conceptually link modernity with traditional flavor. Designers also hope that the material that has been used since ancient times in home furnishing will reflect interaction with local culture.
The location of the modular rooms, which are installed around the vertical core, which is the central axis of the elevator shaft, will also be interesting. It was decided to fix them in a spiral so that each of the blocks was turned in its own direction. Modular blocks, in which separate rooms / zones will be located, are planned to be made of multilayer multifunctional glass with high energy-saving characteristics. It is they who will help to keep not only warmth in the house in cold weather, but also invigorating coolness in hot summer days.
The conceptual project provides not only transparent walls, most of the ceilings will provide residents with beautiful views of the starry sky. As strange as it may seem, but thanks to the installation of ultramodern Brise Soleil blinds, which rotate at the right angle taking into account the movement of the luminary, it will be possible to shade the interior space during daylight hours and ensure its shading.
If we talk about interior decoration, then it should be noted that there are no excesses in the house. Uniformity in design - glass, concrete, bamboo and natural wood will be inherent in each zone, the only decoration will be only the corresponding furniture, accessories and lamps.
The ideas of creating transparent modular homes as country residences are becoming popular among modern designers. So, an Iranian architect, for example, developed the concept of the "Mountain House", which daringly hangs from a cliff face.
