The capital of Great Britain is famous for sky-high property prices, especially if it is located in the prestigious areas of the city. But the price is 450 thousand dollars. for a crumb with an area of 17, 4 sq. m is really overkill. Although, no matter how surprised everyone was, the buyer was found very quickly, and the ad on the real estate website broke all the records of views - 220 thousand people. What caused such a stir, and is a micro-house worth such money?

Everyone knows how expensive real estate in London is, especially if you want to live in one of the most prestigious areas of the city, for example, in Islington on Richmond Avenue. It was there that the house was put up for sale (although it is loudly said), around which an unprecedented excitement rose. This happened for two reasons.
Intriguing fact: On the real estate website, the house turned out to be the cheapest object - "only" 450 thousand dollars, because prices for average apartments here start at 1 million "green" (cottages and old mansions will not add up prices at all). And here is a whole house! Everything would be fine, but it is the smallest house in the world, its area is 17, 5 square meters. m.

This fact dampened the ardor of buyers, although this ad really broke the records for views. According to the authors of Novate.ru, in just a few weeks, while the ad was relevant, it was viewed by more than 220 thousand users, which gives developers food for thought.

The modest building, nestled between pompous Victorian mansions, used to be a flower shop, but the previous owner repurposed it to create a multi-functional living space in just one room. True, I still had to carve out a tiny place in the corner of the room for equipping a comfortable bathroom and a mini-storage room for things and bedding. I would like to immediately make a reservation that the owner will always have to be graceful and dexterous, because in the micro-space of the wet zone (after taking a shower in the literal sense of the word) it is very difficult to maneuver.

But special attention should be paid to the optimization of the living area space, where a maximum of 14 sq. m managed to equip a modern kitchen, living room and bedroom. Skeptics and lovers of large apartments will decide that this does not happen, but for enthusiasts who prefer minimalism and tiny housing, this will be more than enough to organize a full-fledged home.

In order to equip a comfortable home, the owner had to calculate everything down to the millimeter and make the appropriate furniture and modules to order. Along the back wall, where there is only a small window, a table top was installed along its entire length, under which a floor cabinet for kitchen utensils, an oven and a mini-refrigerator fit. The countertop itself performs several functions at once: a stationary hob is located on it, during cooking it serves as a cutting area, if you need to have lunch or work, then it can be used as a table.

But it has another completely unexpected purpose - the tabletop is a step, from where the ascent to the second tier begins, where a bedroom is equipped, the area of which is equal to a double bed. It is worth noting that the open shelf in the kitchen area is also used as a tread of a "floating" staircase. But a sink with a cabinet and a wall cabinet was squeezed between the bathroom and the closet.

Given the tiny space, it was not possible to find a place to install a spacious cabinet, so it was decided to arrange it inside a high podium, on which the living room was equipped. And it doesn't matter that instead of a full-fledged sofa, armchairs and a table, you can use only pillows or a removable mattress and miniature stools with a table - it will still work out to have a party with a couple of three friends.

It remains only to mention that the new owner will have to keep himself in excellent physical shape, because getting into the bedroom located on the second level is not an easy task. The steep steps of the staircase will frighten those who are afraid of heights or often like to drink strong drinks, although for young, high-spirited and leading a healthy lifestyle, "climbing" and descending will definitely not be a problem. Moreover, according to the assumption of a real estate agent selling a micro-house at a fabulous price, it is more expedient to rent an apartment for a short-term lease than to live in it yourself.
17 with a small "squares" - this is not the limit for the arrangement of full-fledged housing in the most popular megacities of the world. So, for example, in Paris, from a room with a maid area only 8 sq. m managed to make a space quite suitable for the life of a young girl.
