Who among the owners of summer cottages does not dream of having a reservoir or at least a fountain in their own garden? But this business is quite costly and troublesome, so few people decide to take such a step. Although one inventive master shared an interesting option for arranging a fountain from scrap materials, which may interest even those who have never made anything with their own hands, because to create it you need only 3 wooden boxes, a pump from a filter for an aquarium, a plastic bucket and a minimum of tools.
Everyone knows that with the onset of heat, a pond or at least a fountain can become salvation, which will decorate the backyard, bring life-giving moisture and allow you to completely relax under the sound of water. But for such an object to appear in the garden, more often than not, you need to spend money and make a lot of effort. Although there are less labor-intensive options that allow you to acquire an original fountain without significant investment. One of these options was offered by handyman Alexander, who manages to make amazing things out of almost one garbage and recyclable materials.
In order to please yourself and your loved ones with a beautiful corner with a fountain you will need:
• two large boxes with solid wood planks and one - plywood;
• agrofibre of black color, light-stabilized film;
• pump from the filter for the aquarium, watering hose;
• plastic ties;
• sandpaper;
• furniture stapler; scissors; glue gun.
To begin with, one of the boxes should remove the bottom, leaving only the sides. We install it on a whole box and fix it with plastic ties. The frame for the fountain is ready. To move on, you need to clean all surfaces with sandpaper, especially carefully you need to walk inside the structure.
As a reservoir for the fountain, you can use black spunbond (agrofibre) and a dense light-stabilized film in two layers. First, agrofibre is fixed inside the structure with the help of a furniture stapler, which will effectively fill the spans and strengthen the base of the tank, and then the film is fixed in a similar way.
Advice: To create a reliable container / reservoir for the fountain, it is better to use PVC film for ponds, which is not affected by climatic conditions, more durable and absolutely harmless to humans and the environment.
Now you can disassemble the third box into planks. They will help to disguise the attachment points of agrofibre and film, as well as additionally strengthen the future "container" for water. A furniture stapler is used to secure them.
The remaining material will be used to decorate a small plastic bucket from which water will pour out. The boards from the box should be cut to size, remembering to make a narrowing at the bottom of the bucket and fix them with a glue gun. But at the bottom you need to make a hole, thread a hose into it and fix it securely.
To fix the original bucket on the side of the fountain, you will need several cuts from any tree, which will hold the entire structure. After that, you can start decorating the outer surfaces to make the composition look more aesthetically pleasing. For such creativity, aerosol paint of any color you like is best suited, which can only be walked over some parts of the frame, giving the nobleness of the wooden surface. After that, the authors of Novate.ru still advise to open the product with a transparent varnish, which will help preserve natural wood from a humid environment and paint fading.
Now all that remains is to install a pump from the aquarium filter (the most budgetary option), connect it to the hose coming out of the bucket and fill it with water. By connecting the unit to electricity, it will be possible to endlessly enjoy the murmur of water, for which birds, insects, and even pets will be grateful - great lovers of hunting for what moves.
