Distracting a child at the station while waiting for a train or bus by watching a cartoon, watching something interesting in a cafe or park on a bench in your smartphone - this is the norm with us. In America, for example, it is better not to do this. The bill will come up huge.
3. Calling a doctor at home
If we have the slightest ailment - this is a reason to call a doctor at home, since there are district police officers, then there is nothing of the kind abroad. You can get to the clinic on your own - by private car, taxi, on foot (underline the necessary).
Even if you break your arm, you will have to sit in line, then fill out a questionnaire, and only then you can count on medical assistance. Agree that everything is much simpler with us.
4. Government bodies and banks work until late
After the end of the working day, each of us can go to the right institution, in particular the bank, and solve this or that issue. Some structures also work on weekends. In Europe, banks are open on weekdays until 16:00, and we are not talking about weekends and holidays at all. If there is a need to visit a bank or any government institution, a person needs to take a day off or take time off for a certain period of time. Naturally, money is lost, and the bosses are dissatisfied. But this does not bother anyone at all.
5. Stores operating 24/7
In our country this phenomenon is familiar, commonplace, and abroad it is rarely seen. On a weekend, many Russians can spend the whole day in a shopping center. In Germany, on weekends, most shops are open only until 14:00. And shops operating around the clock are an exception to the rule. There are only a few of them here.
6. Portal of Public Services
The convenience of processing documents through the website of public services in Russia has already been appreciated by many. This is especially true for those citizens who had to face a similar issue abroad. In France, for example, it will not be possible to arrange anything on the Internet. You need to visit the appropriate institution, having previously collected a bunch of documents. After sitting in line for several hours, it is not a fact that you will get where you need to.
7. Own gardens and orchards
For any Russian family, having a vegetable garden, a garden, a summer residence is the norm. Someone there is engaged in the cultivation of various crops, for someone the site is a place exclusively for recreation. But the very fact of its presence does not surprise anyone.
In Denmark, for example, before you buy a garden, you will have to wait in line for ten to fifteen years. In many gardens in Germany, the use of electricity is prohibited so that there is no fire. 8. Free visit to the forest
With us, almost everyone can go far from the city, go for berries or mushrooms, just relax in the meadow they like. This does not surprise anyone. This has been done since time immemorial. But there is nothing like this in Europe and the United States. Firstly, a lot of territories are private, and secondly, often state-owned forest areas are fenced off so that people do not harm the animals living in the forests.
9. Self-construction, repair
Almost every man has tools. The owner himself can fix the breakdown, repair something and even build without hiring anyone. In the same America, even a minor repair of an outlet can result in a serious fine. Suddenly someone will see and report to the municipality (there is no license to carry out the relevant work). In the USA, almost everything, even minor repair work, is performed by licensed specialists at a fairly high price. A similar situation is observed in Europe.
10. The right to be in a bad mood, as well as to speak openly about problems
With us, a person does not have to smile and ask how the interlocutor is doing when he does not want to do it. Everyone understands perfectly well that there may be problems or that the morning just did not work out, there is no mood. And this is considered normal. In the west, people are deprived of this luxury. There, everyone smiles at each other, takes an interest in business, answers that everything is fine for a similar question, although in fact, everyone deeply does not care how anyone is doing. It's just accepted.
