An unexpected application was found for Fibonacci numbers in the design and construction of a 3D printed house. TAM's Canadian specialists in the design and design of innovative housing decided to use an ancient example that has always intrigued people of science, art and nature throughout the history of mankind. Another highlight of this project is that the home is Canada's first 3D-printed property and the first innovative apartment of its kind to be rented through Airbnb.

The "Golden Ratio", found not only in mathematics and physics, but also in nature, and in numerous variations, ranging from shells, flower petals and ending with the proportions of the human body, inspired Twente Additive Manufacturing (TAM) specialists to develop a special 3D model. printing house.
Reference: The Dutch company Twente Additive Manufacturing, specializing in additive construction technologies, was founded in 2018. In such a short time of its existence, TAM acquired not only subsidiaries in Canada, Germany and Dubai, but also quickly took a leading position in the development of global 3D printing of concrete (3DCP) in the global market. Today it is recognized as one of the five most influential companies in the entire 3DCP industry.

The ambitious plan of the Canadian developers was aimed at the future, because the "Fibonacci House" (Fibonacci House), such a loud name was given to the object, should have become the first swallow in a larger project. Initially, the company's specialists plan to implement it on the territory of the eco-village Kootenay Lake Village in British Columbia. This place is notable for being located in the natural area of the Nelson River Basin, on the slope of a wooded hill, from where a breathtaking view of the Procter Mountains and natural lakes opens up.

Despite the fact that the house received such a loud name, from the most intriguing theory, which is considered almost the number of God, only a spiral was taken as a basis, but it had minimal impact on the construction technology itself. This is due to the configuration of the house, which had to be printed in separate segments, and then assembled on site using a construction crane, creating a comfortable living space.

The 3D printing process, described more than once on the pages of Novate.ru, is technologically similar to other architectural projects, the only difference was the composition of concrete, for which they tried to use local materials in order to reduce the cost of the object. According to the company's specialists, it took 11 days to create the sections and solidify the solution, after which the parts were delivered to the right place and assembled by the construction team.
The final stage of the assembly was: the installation of the roof, window frames, doors, flooring, awning and platform for the terrace, as well as the connection of electricity and plumbing equipment. Due to the peculiarities of printing, external and internal finishing did not have to be done, which significantly accelerated the delivery time of the object and reduced the cost of the construction process.

The result was a small stationary house with an area of 35 sq. m, which is ideal for a country holiday. It has everything for a comfortable life for 2-3 people. The main living area is represented by a spacious living room, from which there is access to an open veranda, where there is a dining area for fresh relaxation and a barbecue area with installed equipment.

Next to the living room, which occupies most of the apartments, a small kitchen has been decorated with the necessary furniture, appliances and accessories. But in the "curl of the sink" is hidden an unusual bathroom with a shower, an original form of a sink and a toilet bowl.
Bedrooms are on the second level. One of the mezzanines is designed for adults, while the other is perfect for children.

The house is already accepting guests, the cost of living for a whole family per day is about $ 133, although the minimum rental period starts from 3 days. If the approbation is successful, such innovative construction methods are planned to be actively used for the construction of social housing both in the country and abroad (as humanitarian aid). In the meantime, all income received from the rental of housing on the Airbnb site goes directly to the "affordable housing" project, led by the international non-governmental organization World Housing.

The construction of the Sakura Place recreation center has already been planned, which will consist of five houses, arranged so that the petals of the Japanese cherry blossoms are obtained. They want to use these homes solely to help single mothers regain healthy and safe living spaces that combine access to nature for their children, who are often deprived of decent housing and recreation in large urban centers.
3D printing is conquering the construction market with leaps and bounds and one or a couple of objects will surprise no one. If in Mexico they built a small village for impoverished farmers, then in California they decided to implement a more ambitious project, in the resort town of Rancho Mirage, for example, construction began 3D quarter, with huge mansions and its own infrastructure.
