The Phonophone II by Science & Sons is an improved version of their first phonophone. It cannot be called a deck for the player: the phonophone is not connected to the network and is not connected to the player through the port. The headphones are simply lowered into the slot of the device, and the sound follows the usual pattern for a gramophone, that is, through a pipe, comes out through a wide socket, spreading around.
In general, the phonophone works the old fashioned way. Moreover, it is recommended to listen to only certain music in it: blues and classics. Rock and electronics can rattle when turned on loudly, low bass ceramics are contraindicated.
