Two-stroke, single-cylinder engines are widespread on the farm as they are used in things like mowers and chainsaws. The main disadvantage of such motors is their small resource. It, in turn, is caused by rapid wear and frequent breakdowns of the crankshaft parts on which the thrust bearings "sit". Changing the entire crankshaft is expensive. However, you can try to re-seat the bearing.
Preparation for work

There are several methods for rebuilding the crankshaft. Consider the most popular and one of the most affordable - copper cladding using electric welding. To do this, we need a single-phase welding transformer, rags and degreasing liquid, a mallet and a tube, as well as copper wire.
Important: electric welding is a fire hazardous type of work, and therefore safety precautions should be followed, the workplace should be prepared and appropriate precautions should be taken, in particular, prepare fire extinguishing agents.
The working process

We disassemble the broken engine, clean, wash and wipe the crankshaft, after which we check all the bearings. We replace the problem bearings with new ones (in fact, the best solution would be to replace everything). After that, we thoroughly degrease the structure using the means prepared in advance, dry all the parts.

We connect the welding transformer. The ground contact will need to be secured directly to the crankshaft. The positive contact will be the wire. You need to spray honey very carefully with short touches. It is necessary to apply the material to the entire worn surface. Let the structure cool down periodically.

The new bearing is fitted only after heating. It should be borne in mind that it may become necessary to hit the tube on which the mechanism is mounted several times.
