How to behave correctly with traffic police officers and not provoke a fine or arrest

Few drivers are eager to meet with traffic police officers. Yes, there are those who like to have fun pouring hundreds of liters of legal water on the heads of traffic police inspectors. For other motorists, such an acquaintance in the middle of the highway or on one of the city streets is very unpleasant. Despite this, it is vital for every driver to learn how to behave correctly when a traffic police officer stops a vehicle.

Some useful tips for the driver

It is important to remember that patrolmen are people too, and they all do their job, and most of the time they do well. If you have not violated anything and are not transporting prohibited items, the stop on demand will not last long.

To meet with an employee in a more gentle mode, follow the basic rules:

Always carry your driver's license, vehicle registration and insurance with you. Make it a rule to check if you have this set of documents before leaving home;

Check the condition of your headlights, mud flaps and license plates before driving. Headlights malfunction is a separate story, and it directly concerns your safety, and for the inspector this is another reason to write out a fine;

It is better that you find them yourself, and they are not knowingly interested in any actions of the employee. In this case, the inspector's hands must always be in sight, and the inspector must justify and comment on his actions. During the inspection procedure, you can use video recording, but you cannot distract the inspector with this. It is not recommended to record video unless there is any apparent reason.

The traffic police officer is polite to you, observes all the rules for communicating with drivers, does not exceed the authority - in this case, it is better not to turn on the phone and certainly not poke the inspector in the face, because this can develop a conflict from scratch.

It is important not only to be able to communicate correctly with representatives of the traffic police, but also to comply with the rules of the road - otherwise in the most "difficult" cases you may be threatened very “expensive” fines.
